Much light from low power

Before the renovation, the interiors of the ufaFabrik buildings where illuminated by fluorescent tubes and regular light bulbs. Conventional fluorescent tubes are already more efficient than light bulbs, which lose about 90% of their energy through heat. The amount of light that the grid luminaires of the ufaFabrik provide, is increased by an electrical ballast. The grid luminaires with 58 watt are equal in brightness as the light bulbs of 60 watt, but last about eight times as long. The work spaces are equipped with special, eye friendly reflectors to enhance illumination.
