In cooperation with Netdays Berlin e.V.
Netdays Berlin e.V. aims to strengthen cultural job opportunities in Berlin through the program, “Neue vernetzte Chancen - Libraries, Culture & Career Guidance” with the sponsorship of the European Social Fund (ESF) and the city’s leadership in the Berlin Senate Chancellery
This program takes place during a three-year period over the course of 150 weeks of creative projects including intensive workshops on career guidance, career preparation, and social-cultural competence.
The program works in cooperation with various extracurricular places of cultural learning “International Culture Centre ufaFabrik” and the Berlin public libraries in Lichtenberg, Marzahn, Hellersdorf, Mitte, Neukölln, Pankow, Reinickendorf, Seglitz-Zehlendorf, and Tempelhof-Schöneberg. Three pillars make up the basic structure of the workshops: A cultural learning place outside of school, working in small groups within the classroom, and the public presentations of the results at the end of each week.
The project, “Neue vernetzte Chancen - Libraries, Culture & Career Guidance” builds on the years of experience which Netdays Berlin e.V has gained by working with young people in their previous projects. In 2009 and 2010, they helped 1,200 young people in 200 workshops prepare themselves for the transition from school to work.
